Full Color Custom Card Options

Full color cards use process color techniques to create photos and images in millions of colors and shades.

Dye-Sublimation Printing

Prints millions of colors in various tones to create photo IDs and multicolor logos and images.

Logos

No extra charge. Must be sent via email in EPS format or minimum 300 dpi resolution GIF, TIF or JPEG file. Design can be multiple colors for full color printing with no bleed and clear borders from edge of card.

Spot Color Card Options

Spot Color Cards

Spot color cards have one to four solid colors printed onto the card for text and logos.

Plastic Card Colors

Card stock is available in white, black, gold, silver, bronze, red, yellow, green or blue. (Other colors may be available, please check with our Sales Reps at 1-800-667-1772)

Resin Thermal Transfer Printing

This printing process produces durable single-color images on plastic cards. Both sides of the card can be printed with spot colors. Choose ink color to contrast with card color. Basic price includes your choice of one color: black, white, blue, red, green, metallic gold and metallic silver.

Additional Colors

Add a second, third or fourth color for greater impact.

Logos

Card Materials

Photo ID Cards

Styrene

  • Lowest cost material
  • Designed for applications not requiring long wallet life such as phone cards
  • 20mm is the most popular styrene thickness since it takes up less space in a wallet

Laminated Teslin Cards

  • Protective coating of polyester (PET)
  • More durable and longer lasting than Styrene and plain PVC cards
  • More cost effective than PVC in lower quantities

PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

  • 100% PVC
  • Heat distortion occurs at 130 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Approximately 2,500 flex cycles
  • Available in white, solid and translucent colors

TAC I

  • 80% PVC and 20% Polyester
  • Heat distortion up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Approximately 15,000 flex cycles

TAC II

  • 60% PVC and 40% Polyester
  • Heat distortion up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Approximately 25,000 flex cycles
  • Recommended for College and University IDs

TAC III

  • 40% PVC and 60% Polyester
  • Heat distortion up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Approximately 50,000 flex cycles

TAC IV

  • 20% PVC and 80% Polyester
  • Approximately 75,000 plus flex cycles

Finishing Options

Laminated Finish

Standard protective finish on cards.

Permagloss Clear Coat

Creates a clear, glossy finish over your cards.

Matte finish with UV Protection

Provides a matted finish on your cards and slows down color fading by UV rays.

Embossing

Raised metallic foil characters and text for use with card imprinters, just like a credit card.

Magnetic Stripe Encoding

Specify track 1, 2, or 3, HiCo or LoCo, and encoding string. We encode your data onto the magnetic stripe. We offer 5 sizes: 1/8”, 5/16”, 7/16”, 9/16” and 1/2" magnetic stripes.

Barcodes

student ID Cards

Choose a code 39, code 128, 2 of 5 barcode, UPC, and most others available. Give us your starting number and we do the auto sequencing. No extra charge if the printed barcode color is black. Barcodes work best with black printing.

Signature Panels

Allows non-smearing personalization with a ballpoint pen. We can customize the size.

Sequential Numbering

Just let us know the starting number for your sequence and we’ll put your cards in order.

Scratch-off Labels

For lottery cards, bank cards, telephone cards, prizes, or special discounts. Hide a prize, discount rate, or pin number under the scratch-off.

Dye Cutting

Aside from the standard rectangular shape, ID Superstore can cut your card into a variety of shapes. Call us for more information.

Foil/Hot Stamping

Decorative foils are applied to your cards with heat. Send us your specific foil or inquire about our foil design options.

Slot Punching

We can punch a hole in your card for attaching a lanyard or badge reel accessory so that your cards can be worn.
